I used to be a fervent user of Ubuntu ever since I tried 8.04 but back then the desktop manager was based in GNOME.
Ever since the switch to Unity, my Ubuntu experience was getting less and less friendly, so since 12.04, I started looking for alternatives.
The only alternative that got my attention was for … Fedora.
Yes, Fedora! The free distribution owned by Redhat
Of course, what I wanted to know is how can I switch painlessly from Ubuntu to Fedora.
Doing some google search, I found the following post here.
Even though the post is dating from 2011 but the necessary steps are the same, and I was able to switch (happily!) from Ubuntu to Fedora without much of a fuss.
Highly recommended read.
