On March 19, the Civil Aviation Administration of China announced the suspension of the following three China-run flights starting March 22:

On March 6, five passengers on flight CA910 and five passengers on flight CZ8182 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

On March 7, five passengers on flight CA438 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Flights entering the country before March 22 on the above routes can continue and the quota for the above flights will not be used for other routes.

The Civil Aviation has also announced the suspension of the following three flights for two weeks:

  • Emirates’ Flight EK362 from Dubai to Guangzhou (flight was already suspended till April 5)
  • Austrian Airlines’ Flight OS75 from Vienna to Shanghai (suspension starts from March 22)
  • Kenya Airways’ Flight KQ882 from Nairobi to Guangzhou (suspension starts from March 29)

On March 6, five passengers on flight EK362 and five passengers on flight 0S75 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

On March 9, six passengers on flight KQ882 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Flights entering the country before the new suspension date on the above routes (except for EK362) can continue and the quota for the above flights will not be used for other routes.

If a flight triggers the circuit breaker mechanism during the period before the new suspension date, it will result in an increase in suspension time.
