On August 30, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following two international flights to Guangzhou:
- Myanmar Airways International flight 8M711 from Yangon
- Cebu Pacific flight 5J308 from Manila
On August 17, eight passengers on flight 8M711 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
As a result, the flight got an extra suspension for two weeks starting September 20.
On August 18, seven passengers on flight 5J308 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
As a result, the flight got suspended for two weeks starting September 6.
