Alert! CAAC suspends 6 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On December 1, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following four flights:

  • KLM flight KL831 from Amsterdam to Hangzhou
  • Lufthansa flight LH720 from Frankfurt to Shenyang
  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • Lufthansa flight LH786 from Frankfurt to Qingdao
  • China Eastern flight MU2574 from Vientiane to Kunming
  • China Southern flight CZ3070 from Ho Chi Minh City to Guangzhou

On November 15, 6 passengers on flight KL831 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, KL831 got suspended for two weeks starting December 6.

On November 17, 6 passengers on flight LH720 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, LH720 got suspended for two weeks starting December 6.

On November 19, 5 passengers on flight LH728 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

On November 20, 6 passengers on flight LH786 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Because LH786 is an award flight of LH728, the flight LH786 got canceled and LH728 got suspended for four weeks starting December 6.

On November 20, 6 passengers on flight MU2574 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU2574 got suspended for two weeks starting December 6 and its flight frequency reduced from twice (Tuesdays and Fridays) to once weekly (Fridays).

On November 21, 13 passengers on flight CZ3070 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Because CZ8466 (Ho Chi Minh City to Shenzhen) is an award flight of CZ3070, the flight CZ8466 got canceled and CZ3070 got suspended for four weeks starting December 6.
