Bummer! 4 flights to China (including 2 to Shanghai) suspended by the CAAC

On December 28, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following four flights:

  • Iberia flight IB2821 from Madrid to Shanghai
  • Ethiopian Airlines flight ET684 from Addis Ababa to Shanghai
  • Turkish Airlines flight TK72 from Istanbul to Guangzhou
  • Cambodia Airlines flight KR961 from Phnom Penh to Chengdu

On December 14, 6 passengers on flight IB2821 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, IB2821 will be suspended for two weeks starting January 3, 2022 and the award flights IB2823 (Madrid to Hangzhou) and IB2824 (Hangzhou to Madrid) are canceled.

On December 14, 7 passengers on flight ET684 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, ET684 got suspended for two weeks starting January 3, 2022.

On December 15, 5 passengers on flight TK72 and 8 passengers on flight KR961 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, TK72 and KR961 got suspended for two weeks starting January 3, 2022.
