Here we go again! CAAC suspends 4 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On January 18, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following FOUR flights:

  • Juneyao flight HO1608 from Helsinki to Shanghai
  • China Eastern flight MU220 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • United Airlines flight UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai
  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai

On January 10, 6 passengers on flight HO1608, and 5 passengers on flight UA857 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • HO1608 was suspended for 2 weeks starting January 31.
  • Sunday flight of UA857 was suspended for 2 weeks starting February 7.

On January 12, 10 passengers on flight MU220 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU220 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 7.

On January 13, 12 passengers on flight UA857, and 11 passengers on flight LH728 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • LH728 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 7.
  • Tuesday flight of UA857 was suspended for 4 weeks starting February 14.
