On February 18, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following TWO flights:
- Air China flight CA404 from Singapore to Chengdu
- China Eastern flight MU568 from Singapore to Shanghai
On February 9, 5 passengers on flight CA404 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Because CA767 (Hangzhou -Singapore) and CA768 (Singapore – Hangzhou) are award flights of CA404, the CAAC decided to:
- Suspend CA404 for 2 weeks starting February 28
- Cancel the award flights CA767 and CA768
On February 10, 5 passengers on flight MU568 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Because MU2069 (Xi’an – Singapore) and MU2070 (Singapore – Xi’an) are award flights of MU568, the CAAC decided to:
- Suspend MU568 for 2 weeks starting February 28
- Cancel the award flights MU2069 and MU2070
