The CAAC suspends 6 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On March 23, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SIX flights:

  • T’Way Air flight TW605 from Seoul to Jinan
  • Korean Air flight KE831 from Seoul to Shenyang
  • Iberia flight IB2821 from Madrid to Shanghai
  • Air Seoul flight RS821 from Seoul to Qingdao
  • Lufthansa flight LH728 from Frankfurt to Shanghai
  • Neos flight NO946 from Milan to Tianjin

On March 11, 9 passengers on flight TW605 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Because TW605 is an award flight of TW615, TW605 was canceled since Mar 14 and TW615 is suspended for two weeks starting March 28.

On March 12, 11 passengers on flight KE831 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, KE831 is suspended for four weeks starting March 28.

On March 15, 6 passengers on flight IB2821, 6 passengers on flight RS821, and 5 passengers on flight LH728 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • IB2821 is suspended for two weeks starting April 4.
  • Because RS821 is an award flight of RS831, RS821 was canceled since Mar 21 and RS831 is suspended for two weeks starting April 18.
  • Monday flight of LH728 is suspended for two weeks starting April 4.

On March 18, 10 passengers on flight NO946 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, NO946 is suspended for EIGHT weeks starting March 23.
