Yikes! The CAAC suspends 6 more flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On April 8, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SIX flights:

  • China Southern flight CZ312 from Toronto to Guangzhou
  • Spring Airlines flight 9C6218 from Tokyo to Jinan
  • China Southern flight CZ3062 from Seoul to Guangzhou
  • China Eastern flight MU570 from Paris to Taiyuan
  • China Eastern flight MU772 from Amsterdam to Chengdu
  • Air China flight CA842 from Vienna to Beijing

On March 26, 5 passengers on flight CZ312 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ312 was suspended for two weeks starting April 11.

On March 27, 5 passengers on flight 9C6218 and 5 passengers on flight CZ3062 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • Because 9C6396 (Osaka to Changzhou) is an award flight of 9C6218, the CAAC canceled 9C6395 and suspended 9C6218 for two weeks starting April 11.
  • CZ3062 was suspended for four weeks starting April 25.

On March 28, 9 passengers on flight MU570 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, MU570 was suspended for two weeks starting May 9.

On March 29, 6 passengers on flight MU772 and 10 passengers on flight CA842 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU772 was suspended for two weeks starting April 18.
  • CA842 was suspended for four weeks starting April 25.
