Yikes! The CAAC suspends 7 more flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On April 13, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SEVEN flights:

  • Air China flight CA946 from Karachi to Zhengzhou
  • Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8502 from Vancouver to Chengdu
  • China Southern flight CZ6044 from Nairobi to Changsha
  • Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8392 from Cairo to Chengdu
  • Shanghai Airlines flight FM886 from Kuala Lumpur to Nanchang
  • Korean Air flight KE865 from Seoul to Guangzhou
  • Thai Vietjet Air flight VZ3560 from Bangkok to Kunming

On March 30, 6 passengers on flight CA946, and 9 passengers on flight KE865 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CA946 was suspended for two weeks starting April 18.
  • KE865 was suspended for two weeks starting April 25.

On March 31, 5 passengers on flight 3U8502, 6 passengers on flight CZ6044 and 5 passengers on flight VZ3560 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • 3U8502 and VZ3560 were suspended for two weeks each starting April 18.
  • CZ6044 was suspended for two weeks starting May 30.

On April 2, 6 passengers on flight 3U8392 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, 3U8392 was suspended for two weeks starting April 18.

On April 3, 10 passengers on flight FM886 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, FM886 was suspended for four weeks starting April 18.
