Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 11 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

On July 1, the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following ELEVEN flights:

  • Spring Airlines flight 9C8530 from Phnom Penh to Guangzhou
  • China Southern flight CZ312 from Toronto to Guangzhou
  • Beijing Capital Airlines flight JD430 from Lisbon to Xi’an
  • Hainan Airlines flight HU492 from Brussels to Xi’an
  • Air China flight CA932 from Frankfurt to Chongqing
  • China Southern flight CZ3040 from Singapore to Guangzhou
  • Air China flight CA934 from Paris to Tianjin
  • US-Bangla Airlines flight BS325 from Dhaka to Guangzhou
  • United Airlines flight UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai
  • KLM flight KL831 from Amsterdam to Hangzhou
  • Air Canada flight AC27 from Toronto to Shanghai

On June 17, 7 passengers on flight 9C8530 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, 9C8530 was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.

On June 18, 7 passengers on flight CZ312 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ312 was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.

On June 19, 5 passengers on flight JD430, 13 passengers on flight HU492, 5 passengers on flight CA932, 5 passengers on flight BS325, and 5 passengers on flight UA857 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • JD430 was suspended for two weeks starting July 25.
  • HU492 was suspended for four weeks starting July 11.
  • CA932 was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.
  • BS325 was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.
  • UA857 (Sunday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting July 4.

On June 20, 5 passengers on flight KL831, and 5 passengers on flight AC27 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • KL831 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11.
  • AC27 was suspended for two weeks starting July 1.

On June 23, 8 passengers on flight CZ3040, and 24 passengers on flight CA934 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CZ3040 was suspended for two weeks starting July 11.
  • CA934 was suspended for four weeks starting August 8.
