Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 5 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following FIVE flights:

  • Air China flight CA988 from Los Angeles to Tianjin
  • Air China flight CA912 from Stockholm to Xi’an
  • Etihad Airways flight EY862 from Abu Dhabi to Shanghai
  • Neos flight NO976 from Milan to Nanjing
  • Air Astana flight KC285 (Saturday flight) from Alma Ata to Chengdu

On July 11, 11 passengers on flight CA988, 6 passengers on CA912, and 6 passengers on flight EY862 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CA988 was suspended for four weeks starting August 8.
  • CA912 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.
  • EY862 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.

On July 12, 6 passengers on flight NO976 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, NO976 was suspended for two weeks starting August .

On July 16, 10 passengers on Saturday flight of KC285 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, the Saturday flight of KC285 was suspended for four weeks starting August 1.
