Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 12 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following TWELVE flights:

  • China Southern flight CZ348 from Paris to Guangzhou
  • Air China flight CA998 from Vancouver to Zhengzhou
  • Air China flight CA942 from Dubai to Beijing
  • Air China flight CA720 from Budapest to Tianjin
  • Spring Airlines flight 9C7008 from Phnom Penh to Guangzhou
  • China Southern flight CZ308 from Amsterdam to Guangzhou
  • Air China flight CA902 from Ulaanbaatar to Hohhot
  • Mahan Air flight W5081 from Tehran to Guangzhou
  • United Airlines Sunday flight UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai
  • Aeroflot flight SU220 from Moscow to Guangzhou
  • Neos flight NO976 from Milan to Nanjing
  • Astana Airlines Saturday flight KC285 from Almaty to Chengdu

On July 15, 8 passengers on flight CZ348, 6 passengers on flight CA998, 6 passengers on flight CA942, 5 passengers on flight CA720, and 5 passengers on flight 9C7008 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CZ348 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.
  • CA998 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.
  • CA942 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
  • CA720 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.
  • 9C7008 was suspended for two weeks starting August 1.

On July 16, 7 passengers on flight CZ308 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ308 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.

On July 18, 6 passengers on flight W5081, and 5 passengers on Sunday flight of UA857 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • W5081 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.
  • Sunday flight of UA857 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.

On July 19, 10 passengers on flight CA902, 8 passengers on SU220, and 6 passengers on flight NO976 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • CA902 was suspended for four weeks starting August 8.
  • SU220 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.
  • NO976 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.

On July 23, 10 passengers on Saturday flight of KC285 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, Saturday flight of KC285 was suspended IMMEDIATLY for EIGHT weeks!
