Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends 6 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SIX flights:

  • China Eastern flight MU542 from Bangkok to Nanchang
  • Air China flight CA908 from Madrid to Tianjin
  • Air China flight CA988 from Los Angeles to Tianjin
  • China Southern flight CZ328 from Los Angeles to Guangzhou
  • China Southern flight CZ8102 from Tokyo to Guangzhou
  • Air China flight CA720 from Budapest to Tianjin

On July 17, 8 passengers on flight MU542, and 7 passengers on flight CA908 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU542 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.
  • CA908 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.

On July 18, 7 passengers on flight CA988 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CA988 was suspended for two weeks starting September 5.

On July 19, 8 passengers on flight CZ328 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, the Monday flight of CZ328 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.

On July 20, 5 passengers on flight CZ8102 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CZ8102 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.

On July 22, 10 passengers on flight CA720 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, CA720 was suspended for four weeks starting August 22.
