Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends another 6 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SIX flights:

  • China Eastern flight MU594 from Tokyo to Xi’an
  • China Eastern flight MU588 from New York to Fuzhou
  • China Eastern flight MU220 from Frankfurt to Chengdu
  • XiamenAir flight MF810 from Tokyo to Fuzhou
  • Hainan Airlines flight HU7986 from Moscow to Xi’an
  • Thai Airways flight TG668 from Bangkok to Guangzhou

On July 23, 6 passengers on flight TG668 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, TG668 was suspended for two weeks starting August 8.

On July 26, 7 passengers on flight MU594, and 10 passengers on flight MU588 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU594 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
  • MU588 (Monday flight) was suspended for four weeks starting August 15.

On July 27, 6 passengers on flight MU220, 7 passengers on flight MF810, and 8 passengers on flight HU7986 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • MU220 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
  • MF810 was suspended for four weeks starting August 15.
  • HU7986 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
