Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends another 8 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following EIGHT flights:

  • Sichuan Airlines flight 3U3816 from Saint Petersburg to Chengdu 
  • Hainan Airlines HU7960 from Vancouver to Shenzhen
  • Singapore Airlines SQ830 from Singapore to Shanghai
  • Aeroflot flight SU220 from Moscow to Guangzhou
  • American Airlines flight AA127 from Dallas to Shanghai
  • Japan Airlines flight JL829 from Tokyo to Dalian
  • Delta Airlines flight DL283 from Detroit to Shanghai
  • Aeroflot flight SU216 from Moscow to Chengdu

On July 25, 7 passengers on flight SQ830 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result, SQ830 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.

On July 26, 5 passengers on flight SU220, and 6 passengers on flight AA127 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • SU220 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.
  • AA127 (Monday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.

On July 28, 6 passengers on flight 3U3816, 5 passengers on flight JL829, and 7 passengers on flight DL283 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • 3U3816 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
  • JL289 (Thursday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
  • DL283 (Tuesday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.

On July 30, 11 passengers on flight HU7960, and 10 passengers on flight SU216 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • HU7960 was suspended for four weeks starting August 15.
  • SU216 was suspended for four weeks starting August 15.
