Oh Boy! The CAAC suspends another 7 flights to China

Cancelled Flights

The CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) announced suspension against the following SEVEN flights:

  • Hainan Airlines flight HU7986 from Moscow to Xi’an
  • Aeroflot flight SU208 from Moscow to Shanghai
  • Scoot flight TR100 from Singapore to Guangzhou
  • Delta flight DL283 from Detroit to Shanghai (Tuesday & Saturday flights)
  • United Airlines UA857 from San Francisco to Shanghai
  • Singapore Airlines SQ814 from Singapore to Chongqing
  • Aeroflot flight SU220 from Moscow to Guangzhou
  • Himalaya Airlines H9784 from Katmandu to Kunming
  • Turkish Airlines flight TK72 from Istanbul to Guangzhou
  • Etihad Airways flight EY888 from Abu Dhabi to Beijing

On July 31, 10 passengers on flight SU208, 7 passengers on flight TR100, and 8 passengers on flight DL283 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • SU208 was suspended for eight weeks starting today (August 12).
  • TR100 was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.
  • DL283 (Saturday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting August 15.

On August 1, 7 passengers on flight UA857, and 5 passengers on flight SQ814 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • UA857 (Sunday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.
  • U857 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.

On August 3, 10 passengers on flight HU7986, 5 passengers on flight TK72, 5 passengers on flight EY888, and 6 passengers on flight DL283 tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

As a result:

  • HU7986 was suspended for four weeks starting August 29.
  • TK72 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.
  • EY888 was suspended for two weeks starting August 22.
  • DL283 (Tuesday flight) was suspended for two weeks starting August 29.
