Microsoft brings Android 13 into Windows 11

Microsoft just released a road map for the future of WSA on GitHub. One of these functionalities is the development of a WSA-based Android 13 for Windows 11.

In addition to listing features that will be implemented in the future, the roadmap also shows the features that are currently implemented in Windows 11 like: audio codecs, cameras, Bluetooth, Ethernet, multi-touch and gamepads, etc.

The new features Google is bringing to Android 13 includes Material You, automated thematic icons, improved clipboard functionality, more granular security and privacy, an improved tablet experience, and more.

It’s unclear if Android 13, which Microsoft is bringing to the WSA, will support all of the above features, and Microsoft has not provided an update date for the time being, so it’s not clear when those features will go live.
